The second book in the Maximum Ride series, it certainly lives up to expectations. The flock are on their way to find information- where are their parents? However, Fang is slashed by Ari and hurt- badly.
Fang goes to the hospital- something the flock has only thought of in horror. But then a "FBI" higher-up takes them to her house- a picturesque farmhouse with a pond and everything. Thing is, when the flock leave to look for their parents at 12 AM, the woman is looking for them. Weird things pile up and burst at the end. Mrs. "FBI", indeed.
As usual, if you read the one before it, then get this. You won't understand a thing if you don't.
