Olive Dunwoody has just moved into an old, deteriorating mansion, and she is quickly discovering its secrets. She finds a pair of old spectacles in a drawer, and finds that if she wears them, she can travel in and out of the many, many paintings throughout her home. Soon, Olive learns that there is an evil force that wants to get rid of her and her family. Can she stop the evil force before it's too late?
I liked how creative the plot was, and the creative plot is also what makes this book unique. I have never read any other book like this! One thing that stands out of this book is how Olive befriends (some!) of the people in the paintings she visits.
I would recommend this book to anyone, but mostly people who like fantasy books, like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson.
