The book Hoot was an amazing book, Roy is trying to save the owls home from Curly he was trying to put ANOTHER mother paula's pancake house but by doing that the owls will have no place to live!

I liked the whole book everything about it I didn't dislike anything. What makes this book unique is that there is some action some romance and some heroic moments. What stands out the most in this book is that there are 3 KIDS trying to save owls with no adults help. It is not like any other book I've read.

I would recommend this book to any kids that love books about heroic actions romance and action. I would recommend this book because its a good/touching book

Rating: 5/5-Amazing!

The book is about an astronaut who gets abandoned by his crew on Mars during a sandstorm. The astronaut (whose name is Mark Watney) learns to survive on Mars while everyone on Earth thinks that he is dead.Eventually, NASA discovers that he is alive and that they have to do everything they can to bring him back home.

I loved this book a lot. One part that really made this book enjoyable was the humor. Mark Watney is a very funny character and he is always cracking jokes. I laughed out loud many times wile reading this book. I also liked how it was "real science-fiction" so even though it was fake it seemed realistic because the author used many scientific terms and real places. The scientific terms can get in the way if you don't understand them all and they can make the book confusing. However if you do understand the science it makes the book much easier to read.

The book has lots of mature language and some inappropriate humor so I wouldn't suggest it to most kids under the age of twelve. Also,if you don't enjoy or don't understand most scientific terms then I wouldn't recommend reading this book. You should read it even if you have seen the movie and if you haven't seen the movie but are planning to I recommend reading the book first.

Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Rating: 5/5-Amazing!

The Hunger Games is about a government which "needs all the power it can get." To show this they put 2 tributes from each of 12 districts forcing them to kill each other.

I liked the fact that it was not confusing when it went back to something that previously happened. I disliked the fact that Peeta's leg got hurt making him incapable of helping himself survive. I wish that he got hurt in another way so he could actually do stuff. This book is unique because of the whole idea of sticking people to kill each other and the government wants them to do so. The thing that stands out to me is the author wants you to also feel connected to the characters so when they die you feel sad too. I have never read any book like this.

I would recommend this book to everyone, EVEN IF YOU ALREADY SEEN THE MOVIES! This book is great and honestly it didn't make a difference if you had already seen the movie or not, it would probably be easier to comprehend if you already see the movie.

Rating: 4/5-Loved It!

Miracles From Heaven is about a little girl named Annabel she was diagnosed with pseudo-obstruction motility disorder, a rare disorder that has a profound effect on the intestines, preventing the body from receiving the nutrition it needs, and antral hypomotility disorder, which is essentially a paralysis in the stomach. These disorders always gave her pain in her stomach and she was always in and out of the hospital due to the pain. From the time she was four years old Annabel had suffered horrific pain and other symptoms.

What I liked about this book is that Annabels sister Abigail always looked after her when they went outside to play. Always made sure that she was okay. What made this book unique is that it was an actual event that had happened to someone in reality. Miracles From Heaven is like another book that I read called "Heaven is for real."

Yes, I would recommend this book to others to read. I would recommend this book to teens (14-18)
